Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the price include set up and delivery?

A: Yes, set up and delivery fees for inflatables are included for most of the Santa Clarita Valley. Additional fees may apply for areas farther out, tables/chairs only orders, special setup situations, for large events, park setup and for specific add-on items. Remember prices do not include sales tax.


Q: Do you deliver to other cities not listed?

A: Yes, it is possible, but once again please be aware that due to rising gas prices and the possible need for an extra truck and labor that travel fees can be quite high. Please call our office for the availability of service in your area and for a current quote.


Q: Does the standard 8 hour rental time include your set up or break down time?

A: No. We arrive early to set up so you get the entire rental time to play.


Q: When do you set up?

A: That depends on how many rentals we have that day. Generally we arrive 1-3 hours before the rental time begins. If we have a lot of rentals that day, we may need to set up as early as 4 hours in advance. We will contact you within 2 days prior to your event to confirm that someone will be at the party location within the estimated delivery window.


Q: Is there a minimum order amount?

A: Yes, we require a minimum order of $100, before fees and taxes.


Q: We've rented some really dirty jumps from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?

A: No. The jump should be clean when you get it. [company name] cleans and disinfects after every rental.


Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?

A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the jump unit the entire time. Once unplugged they deflate. That's why we require an outlet within 50 feet of the unit or a generator. Longer cords can pop your circuit breaker so we bring our own heavy duty cords. The unit is to remain inflated from the time of set up to the time we pick it up.


Q: What about parks? Do parks have electricity?

A: WE CAN NOT ACCOMMODATE PARK SETUPS AT THIS TIME.
Most city parks require a permit for us to set up an inflatable. Please contact Parks and Recreation to reserve the location and obtain the proper permit. Due to time sensitive delivery and pick-up windows for parks (an adult must be there to accept delivery), we do charge an additional fee.
Parks DO NOT provide electricity. You will need to rent a generator of appropriate size based on your order.


Q: What payments do you take?

A: We accept credit cards payments through our website.


Q: What if we need to cancel?

A: Please check out our policies page for the Cancellation/Inclement Weather Policy details.


Q: Do you require a deposit?

A: Yes all orders require a Credit Card deposit which is the greater of either $50 or 50% of the rental order. Security deposits are fully refundable if you cancel your order at least 15 days prior to your event date. If you cancel between 2-14 days prior to the event date you will be given a rain check for the deposit amount that is good for 1 year. Please see our Cancellation/Inclement Weather Policy for more details.


Q: How big are the inflatables?

A: Our units range in size. Please note the set-up space required for each unit (listed by the description for each rental). Some units are VERY big and will require extra space. ALWAYS measure the set-up area to ensure that the unit will fit!
Inflatables need room to be staked/secured, as well as need room for the blower. They can't rub against walls or trees as this may damage the unit. The sizes listed with each jump include the space needed for stakes etc. If you have stairs, hills, or a tiered backyard, please call our office to discuss options for setup.


Q: What about the big inflatables? Any special requirements?

A: Check the requirements listed with each jump. Also, make sure you have at least a 3.5-4 foot wide access path to the area where it will be set up. When rolled up, the units can still be quite large and can weigh up to 650 pounds, so we need a clear path with ample room.


Q: What surfaces do you set up on?

A: We can set up on Grass (our favorite and best for the kids), dirt, asphalt, and concrete. Sorry, we can't set up on any type of rocks, gravel or sand, as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl.


Q: Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?

A: Yes. There is a link in your receipt once you've ordered or you may contact our office.


Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?

A: Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time. If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower, etc., which can cost thousands of dollars. We don't want you or us to be in that situation, which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules so that you can be the trained operator.
We do offer the optional purchase of a Damage Waiver. For 10% of your rental fee, we will waive any accidental damage that happens to our equipment during your rental. (see below)


Q: What is the Damage Waiver?

A: The damage waiver is not an insurance, it's a waiver to cover any accidental damage to rental equipment while in your possession.
The Damage Waiver is an additional 10% of the overall order and is completely optional. If you opt in to the waiver, we will waive any accidental damage that happens to our equipment during the rental. Examples of accidental damage, if someone had a ring or perhaps a rivet on their clothing and it scratched/tore the vinyl as they were playing, a child hangs from the netting and it tears, a child has an aggressive slam dunk and the basketball hoop tears at the seam, a party guest spills their drink on the side of the unit and it stains the vinyl, leaves/sap fall and stain the vinyl, or a natural event/mother nature causes a tree in your yard to fall and it damages the unit.
Please note that intentional damage, theft of equipment, or damage caused by negligence or disobeying the rules/regulations will NOT be covered and you will be held responsible for all costs incurred for repair or replacement. Some examples of intentional damage: theft, silly string, confetti, cuts/slashes in the vinyl, water damage (hose/sprinkler on dry unit), damages from pets (holes/tears/scratches/urine/feces), graffiti, etc.


Q: Do you offer a military discount?

A: Yes, we offer a 10% discount for orders over $150 for military personnel, as well as for law enforcement, firefighters and first responders. Please see our discounts page for more details.

Q: Do you offer any other discounts or coupons?

A: Our party packages offer the best discounts for our rentals, check out our Party Packages page to see the current deals. We also issue coupon codes occasionally through our Facebook page. Please like our Facebook page at the link provided above to stay up to date with the current offerings.

>Q: Can I make a deposit only to secure a sale price for a future date?

A: BDJ has sales throughout the year. You can make a reservation for a future event at the sale price making just the deposit. If the event is more than 30 days away, the remaining balance would have to be paid within 30 days from the date the order was placed, in order to secure the sale price. Contact our office if you have any questions.


Q: Do you provide rentals for large public events, schools or fundraisers?

A: Yes, please call our office for details and pricing.

We go out of our way to ensure that our inflatables are clean, disinfected, safe, and looking great for your party or event.
