Stairs/Steep Hills Policy

Please review our entire policy related to stairs/steep hills and other challenges to set up areas. Many of our units are quite large and heavy, even when rolled up, making them difficult to maneuver, particularly with respects to stairs, steps, hills and tiered yards. Additional fees may apply!

Stairs/Steps:
If the path from the street (or area where our delivery vehicles have access to) to the set up area contains more than 2 stairs or steps in total (not consecutively), there will be an additional charge of $25 per stair/step minimum for each of the delivery and pickup. For example, two steps up to the pathway to enter the backyard and then another three steps at the end of the path to get down to the grass, would be considered a total of FIVE stairs/steps. And if our office determines we can access the setup area, there would be an additional stairs/steps charge of $75 (3 steps) for delivery and $75 (3 steps) for pickup, which would total $150 in additional charges for this example.
If the path to the set up area includes ANY stairs or steps, you are REQUIRED to contact our office and provide pictures so that we can determine if it is possible to maneuver the rental unit to your desired setup area, and if so, we will let you know the total additional charges that would apply. Failure to notify BDJ Party Rentals, LLC of stairs/steps in advance of delivery can and will result in a CANCELLATION OF THE ORDER WITHOUT REFUND.
Please note that most units are too large and heavy to move up or down even 2 stairs/steps, particularly if being used wet. DO NOT order until you have spoken with our office and provided pictures of the stairs/steps via text to 661.235.6050 to find out if we are able to reach the setup area.
FLIGHTS OF STAIRS OR STAIRS WITH FOUR OR MORE CONSECUTIVE STEPS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED for deliveries of all kinds.

Tiered Yards:
If the path from the street (or area where our delivery vehicles have access to) to the set up area includes a tiered yard, with no stairs or steps available, we WILL NOT be able to maneuver our units to that area. Inflatable units cannot be lifted over walls or drop-offs in a yard; the unit will have to be set up on the accessible level. If you are not sure if your yard qualifies as tiered, please contact our office and provide pictures so that we can determine if it is possible to maneuver the rental unit under those conditions. Failure to notify BDJ Party Rentals, LLC of a tiered yard can result in a cancellation of the order without refund.

Steep Hills:
If the path from the street (or area where our delivery vehicles have access to) to the set up area includes a steep hill, including steep grade driveways, there will be an additional charge of $25 for each hill. If the path to the set up area includes any steep hills, you are REQUIRED to contact our office and provide pictures so that we can determine if your incline qualifies as a steep hill and if it is possible to maneuver the rental unit under these conditions. Failure to notify BDJ Party Rentals, LLC of steep hills can result in a cancellation of the order without refund.
Please note that most units are too large and heavy to move up or down any hills, particularly if being used wet. Please DO NOT order until you have spoke to our office or text pictures to 661.235.6050 to find out if we are able to reach the setup area.

Other:
Some of our units are wider and will not fit through some gates. Please make note upon checkout if the inflatable unit you are are renting will require certain clearance for the pathway to the set up area. Failure to measure gate openings, walkways and other restrictions along the path to the set up area can result in a cancellation of the order without refund. We CAN NOT and WILL NOT lift our inflatables over fences, gates, walls or bring them through the house.
Please prepare the pathway to the set up area with the clearance required for the unit you are renting. Don't assume, PLEASE MEASURE to ensure you have provided enough room!

We do advise that if the path to your set up area has any of the following, you make alternate arrangements for where to set up your inflatable. We want your event to go as smoothly as possible!
